Broadway Intensive with Luke Yellin
Step inside the audition room and learn what it really takes to stand out. In this intensive workshop, Broadway performer Luke Yellin will guide students through the key elements of a successful musical theatre audition.
Students will work on:
- Cutting a track or sheet music — a skill that often makes or breaks an audition. Learn how to create the perfect 16-bar audition cut that highlights your strengths.
- Short movement/dance call — experience the type of choreography often taught at auditions.
- Performing a short audition cut — each student will sing a 16-bar (or shorter) selection and receive guidance on presentation and delivery.
- Audition preparation — what to wear, what to bring, headshots, and other essentials for walking into the audition room confidently.
- Q&A about the entertainment industry — ask questions about Broadway, auditions, training, and building a career in theatre.
This workshop is designed to give performers a realistic audition experience while providing practical tools they can immediately use at school, community theatre, and professional auditions.
Students will leave with clear audition strategies, confidence, and a better understanding of what casting teams are looking for.
