Theatreworks Live Virtual Summer Camp 2020

We are pleased to announce our hopefully ONCE IN A LIFETIME, and FIRST EVER Theatreworks Live Virtual Summer Camp!

Due to the ongoing pandemic and quarantine restrictions, we think it is unlikely that any in-person summer camps or theater performances will be permitted this summer.  As such, we’ve placed our normal in person summer workshop on hold. We will be offering High School Musical Jr. and Frog and Toad Kids when we are able to reschedule. We’ve already purchased the license for these shows, so it will eventually happen when we can be together.

All camps are currently in session and we are unable to add any more to the camp.  If you have interest in either camp, please email me and we will put you on a list should we offer additional camps this summer.  mark@theatreworkslive.org

Why would I want to do a Virtual Camp?

  • We can still have fun together even if we can’t be in the same room.  Social interaction is a necessity.
  • We don’t know what the future will be like, but we do know that video conference skills will be necessary.
  • Performing in front of a camera is a skill we don’t usually explore in live theatre.  Time to develop that skill!
  • We stay true to our mission in creating confidence, creativity and character.

THE BIG ONE-OH  (Brand new show designed specifically for virtual rehearsals and performances)

Charley Maplewood has never been one for parties – that would require friends, which he doesn’t have. Well, unless you count his monster friends, but they’re only imaginary. But now that he’s turning ten—the big one-oh—he decides to throw a birthday party for himself, complete with a “House of Horrors” theme. Of course, things don’t work out as he plans. Will Charley be able to pull it together before the big one-oh . . . becomes the big OH-NO!?

Tuition includes a non-refundable $20 Administrative fee.  Cancellations must be 30 days before class starts.  Full tuition will be refunded in case of cancellation due to insufficient enrollment.

Final Shows will be presented Online.  Access to the online shows are included for limited performances.
